In 1984 he was appointed to the position of a Senior Vice President and chief China representative of a major Asian conglomerate, the Charoen Pokphand Group, where he was responsible for strategic planning, evaluation, negotiation and execution of all direct investments. In 1990, Mr Wang commenced operating his own direct investment and advisory firm in Shanghai and provided professional services in investment strategy and opportunity analysis to many Taiwanese companies and a number of international companies on the structuring of their China projects. Between 1996 and 1998, Mr Wang was a managing director and the chief China representative of Crimson Asia Capital, a US$435 million pan-Asia private equity investment fund. |
